I Get Nervous Writing My Resume - What Can I Do About It?
I Get Nervous Writing My Resume - What Can I Do About It?Do you ever get nervous writing your resume? Have you tried applying for more jobs without a resume and ended up at the last interview stage without having made it past the first stage? How would you feel if you were to apply for ten more jobs but you had already been rejected? Would it be any better? If so, what could you do?Have you stopped yourself asking 'why?' as if this is a problem that will just happen to everyone? If you're still wondering why, the truth is that most of the successful people in the world are more than aware of the importance of getting their resume written by someone who understands what you are going through. If they have done it and they are willing to put their money where their mouth is, then they probably know what you're going through. The truth is that even if you are a super-qualified individual and find yourself in the later stages of the hiring process, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will be a complete waste of time or that you will never get hired. Why? Because of the confidence that comes from knowing that you have done all you can and given everything you have to get the results that you have. You might think 'I don't have anything to lose by being nervous'. And you're probably right. But you do know that you could lose a potential client or customer because of the nerves that you have - it's important to not only develop your confidence, but also have it in spades! To test this, you should try to make yourself more nervous when you are in the interview stage. Don't try to answer the questions the way you would in a normal conversation. Speak slowly and clearly, be attentive and try to relax.By doing this, you will find out whether you are a nervous type or an extrovert. If you're an extrovert, you're an extremely effective salesperson!
